On February, 12 in a Moscow restaurant "Lizarran" was held a large tasting of Greek wines, organized by the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy in the frameworks of the International Exhibition of products and beverages "Prodekspo"
Legends and myths about the wines of ancient Greece, a friendly and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant captured and prepared guests to the fun part: the tasting of wines themselves.
Nine wineries from different regions of Greece, have shown their wines to the Russian importers, restaurateurs, journalists and experts in the field Enogastronomy.
There were presented Vaeni Naoussa, Alpha Estate, Zoenos SA, Papagiannakos Domaine, Ekoypae Domaine Skouras, Ktima Tselepos, Lafazanis winery, Estate Argyros Santorini, Creta Olympias winery, Alexakis winery.
Greek wines became a very pleasant experience especially interesting because of the fact that they are distinguished by their special character, largely due to the fact that are made from indigenous grape varieties such as Xinomavro, Debina, Agioritiko, Moskhofilero, Kotsifali, Mandilaria
Dinner tasting was attended by over than 50 people, including wine makers and Greek journalists. The evening was spent in lively debates about Greek wines and cuisine, historical and cultural traditions. Dinner was hosted by chairman of Moscow (National) Branch of the International Wine&Food Society, international judge for wines and spirits - Leonid Gelibterman.
