On March 06, Leonid Gelibterman, the President of the ICWAG, as a Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the "Russian Gastronomy Weeks" project, held a press conference at the Russian Cultural Center in Athens.
A special press conference for the Russian and Greek media took place with the participation of the official representative of the Russian Embassy in Greece Mr. Fedor Kalaydov, as well as the representatives of the Ministry for Tourism of Greece, Mrs. Ioanna Angelidou and Mrs. Despina Tamanidi.
During the press conference, Leonid Gelibterman introduced the journalists and the representatives of Greek public organizations with the "Russian Gastronomy Weeks" project, which will be implemented in Greece in the period from 21 to 26 May 2018, as well as with a number of other major events in the enogastronomic sphere, planned to be held with the participation of the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy in the framework of the Cross-year of tourism Russia-Greece in 2018.
"National cuisine is an important part of the culture of any nation, its origin and history. Therefore, it is very important to show it correctly to the representatives of other countries. With the help of national cuisine it is much easier to find a common language with other nations, because all issues are usually solved around the table," – said Leonid Gelibterman.
The Representatives of the Ministry for Tourism of Greece, who attended the press conference, noted that the Ministry is engaged in the organization and conduction of various events planned in frames of the Cross-year of tourism Russia-Greece, and supports all activities of the Russian side included in the official programme of the Year.
